Responsibilities • Develop the organic social media channels and the Social Media team, and build new channels • Own format development, channel strategy, publishing frequency, and community management • Create editorial calendars across all organic channels and manage topics, timing, resources, execution, and prioritization • Lead the Creator team, set goals, provide feedback, support development, and plan capacity • Own influencer marketing and creator campaigns, from selection, briefing, and relationship management through to evaluation • Develop, brief, commission, and occasionally produce YouTube long-form content, blog content, guides, and advice articles • Develop evergreen formats from campaign materials and independently build out content • Build relationships with trade publications, online magazines, comparison websites, and review platforms • Drive reviews and involve educational creators and veterinarians as sources of credibility • Own visibility in search engines and AI-generated answers (SEO and GEO) • Identify topic priorities and content gaps and translate them into the editorial calendar • Coordinate external agencies, freelancers, and production partners with regard to briefing, quality, timelines, and budget Requirements • Several years of experience developing short-form, long-form, and evergreen content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube • Several years of experience managing external producers, freelancers, or agencies • Experience with the functional or disciplinary leadership of a content or creator team • Experience in SEO—both content-focused and technical, not limited to keyword research • Demonstrable understanding of visibility in AI-generated answers (GEO / AI Search) and how it is achieved • Editorial rigor when working on health-related topics: you understand why sources, expertise, and traceability are non-negotiable for this type of content • Very strong German and good English skills • You love dogs and cats Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in developing and managing organic social media content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with a strong focus on SEO and editorial rigor for health-related topics.
