Remote E-commerce Platform Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Remote E-commerce Platform Manager to oversee and enhance their online retail platform, operating remotely to serve their customer base, including those in Port Elizabeth . This critical role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce site, ensuring optimal user experience, driving sales conversion, and implementing new features. You will work closely with technical, marketing, and operations teams to maintain a high-performing and customer-centric online store. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end e-commerce platform, including website content, product catalog, promotions, and user experience optimization.
• Oversee the implementation of new features, integrations, and technical enhancements to the e-commerce site.
• Monitor website performance, uptime, and security, ensuring a stable and reliable shopping environment.
• Analyze e-commerce data, including conversion rates, average order value, and customer journey, to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing campaigns and promotional activities with the e-commerce platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the e-commerce platform in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce platform management or a related role, preferably in a remote setting.
• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar.
• Strong understanding of website analytics, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
• Experience with managing integrations with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, payment gateways).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage projects in a remote team environment.
